  After the funeral of her mother, Dallas Lisle accompanied her aunt, Victoria Gates Nagel, to Ashland, Kentucky, to live. Dallas graduated from Ohio state University in 1899, where she was class secretary and class poet. The 1899 Makio included one of her poems. She was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. After graduation she returned to Ashland to teach, where she met her husband. After the death of Victoria's husband, and because of the ill health of Dallas, Victoria sold her property in Ashland and came back to Columbus, Ohio and moved in with Dallas and her family on 4th Ave. Victoria furnished the money for a new house on 8th Ave. in exchange for a room and the privilege of living with them. Because of Dallas' ill health she actually kept the house, even putting the children to bed every night. After the death of Dallas, Victoria continued on until her own death in 1934 at the age of 90. _______________________ Ashland, Ky. She is one of the brightest pupils of Ashland High School, and is a member of the senior class, which numbers 24, and is striving for first honors, although there are about four who rank equally with her. She is also an active member of the medieval club which is composed of about six of our brightest sweetest young girls. Miss Lisle is the daughter of Dr. Lisle, a noted physician of Columbus, Ohio, but her mother having died when she was quite small, she has since made her home with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Nagle, who are very devoted to her. She has a bright and cheery disposition, is a fascinating conversationalist for one so young, and a general favorite with young and old. Columbus Newspaper - MRS. J. F. STONE TAKEN BY DEATH Complications caused the death of Mrs. Dallas Lisle Stone, 44, wife of John F. Stone, 387 W. 8th Avenue, general agent of the Equitable Life Insurance Co. of Iowa at her home Sunday after a long illness. Mrs. Stone was the daughter of Dr. J. M. and Eva Gates Lisle and was born July 1, 1878 in Columbus. She was a graduate of Ohio State University and a member of the Fourth Avenue Church of Christ, the College Women's Club, Pi Beta Phi Sorority and the Ninth Avenue Parent Teacher Association. She leaves her husband, two daughters, Dallas Victoria Stone and Lucy Virginia Stone, one sister Mrs. J. G. Belknap and two brothers, Thomas G. Lisle of Clyde, O. and Dr. Leslie M. Lisle of East State St. and her stepmother, Mrs. Margaret M. Lisle. Funeral at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the residence. M. Lisle to explain what the Makio wanted. Mr. Lisle asked for the pictures together with short biographies and fifty cents from each senior. April 18, 1899 - Dallas Lisle added to social committee May 25, 1918 - Alumni Day this year presented one of the greatest and most impressive services ever held on the campus of the University. The unfurling of the "service flag" with 2624 stars, each one representing an Ohio State student who has gone to the greatest War in the world's history. After the ceremony the different classes from 1878 to the present time lined up and marched to Ohio Field for supper. Our class of 1899 had such a few present that they deserve their names kept on record for faithfulness and loyalty. Those who sat at the '99 table were ...
