  Columbus Dispatch - 0bituary Robert G. Mathews, age 80, of Upper Arlington, died after a brief illness on April 21, 1988. He was a member of the North High School Class of 1925 and Ohio State University Class of 1929. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta. He was an Equitable for more than 50 years, where he received numerous professional awards and honors. He was a past member of the board of directors of the Columbus Academy and was an active member of the Crichton Club. He was for many years a member of the Round Table Lunch Club of the Columbus Athletic Club. Funeral at Schoedinger State Street Chapel, Rev. Jane Mykrantz officiating. Interment at Alton Cemetery.
